video reflection
You recently completed the first five books of the Bible, the Torah. Before you get too far into the book of Joshua, we invite you to take a moment to review patterns written in the Torah and see how they repeat in the book of Joshua and all throughout the Bible. Design patterns are one of the key ways the biblical authors unify the storyline of the Bible. Individual stories across the Old and New Testaments have been coordinated through repeated words and parallel themes. These patterns highlight core themes of the biblical story to show how it all leads to Jesus.
Bible Summary
Today, we continue the book of Joshua with chapters 5-8 as Israel fights the legendary battle of Jericho.

So many interesting things in this reading! My biggest takeaway is how great everything is when the people are following God. As soon as they turn away… BAM!
